The Business School of Vocational Studies has 4 servers and a total of 140 PCs – workstations, of which more than 110 computers are used for teaching activities. There are currently five laboratories within the School, and it is planned to form another – the sixth laboratory for basic IT training. The main task of the laboratory is to provide quality teaching in the subjects of narrowly specialized areas that are covered in all study programs, and are related to the application of the latest information technologies and methods. In addition, basic IT training for students of the School is held in the laboratories.
They are primarily intended for professional practice, practical classes and laboratory exercises in the process of implementing the curricula of the School.
Within the limits of available capacities and possibilities, the laboratories provide full support in the research, development and commercial activities of the School. This primarily refers to the development of business and dedicated software, hardware and software support in public – Internet information, presentation of the School and its activities, as well as in the implementation of the Project “Distance Education”. Laboratory resources are also used to hold educational courses in various fields: from basic general IT education, through more advanced expertise, to the acquisition of highly professional specialist knowledge and skills.
All computers in the laboratories, as well as in the entire School, are structured networked, which is, among other things, in the past period, the result of the work of the laboratory team for the design and implementation of computer networks. Due to the specific requirements, the latest technological achievements in this field – Wireless computer networking technology – have been applied in the implementation of this network.
There are the following laboratories within the School:
1. Laboratory for Information Systems and R&D
The main activity of the laboratory, which has 31 computers, is support in the implementation of curricula for subjects:
-
- Informatics
- Application software and Internet
- Database management systems
- Relational databases
- Software engineering
The Laboratory for Information Systems enables students to create exercises, projects, seminars, homework and other papers and allows students to work on a computer in their free time.
The Laboratory for Information Systems, in addition, conducts its activity in the field of research and development work of the School. Also, this laboratory provides support to the employees of the School in the use of computers in their workplaces in order to generally improve the business efficiency and efficiency of the School.

4. CNA Laboratory (CISCO Networking Academy)
The main task of the CNA (CISCO Networking Academy) laboratory is the implementation of theoretical classes, practical exercises, laboratory exercises and all activities provided by the Plan and Program CNAP (CISCO Networking Academy Program).

Cisco Networking Academy
CNA laboratory conducts its activity in the field of computer networking, primarily for all activities provided by the CNAP program, relying on specially purchased equipment (routers, switches,…) according to the CISCO Academy program, but also computer networking of teaching, business and development needs of the School. relying on the achievements of other laboratories of the School so far.

5. Laboratory for management simulation Topsim II
Management simulations are one of the most innovative methods in business learning. The idea of this simulator comes from a flight simulator in pilot training.
It is about learning business, doing business on a simulator and gaining practical experience without real risk and high costs. The main advantage compared to case studies is in the dynamics and current feedback.

TOPSIM-Planspiele
Topsim is a strategic simulation developed in collaboration with the Hans-Lindner Institute and the University of Applied Sciences (Fachohschule) in Germany. All simulation models are focused on typical business phases with a focus on business, social, technical and economic challenges. This simulation is also a game, of a very dynamic character and leads the business in a very realistic direction.
The target groups for the simulation are students:
-
- Management and Economic Departments;
- Information Departments;
- Employees in companies and other organizations.
Simulation:
-
-
- It teaches you how to think and act in business;
- Interprets market conditions and your results in that market;
- Calculates the benefits of your customers and your competitive advantages;
- Sets a business plan based on set initial values;
- Identifies the success factors of your company and the critical values for the success of the company;
- Teaches participants teamwork and understanding of personal capabilities;
- Uses management methods and decision-making tools.
-
All parts of the Topsim simulation are certified with a diploma.
Blace Business School of Vocational Studies is authorized to train Topsim simulations and its lecturers are certified by a German partner.
6. ECDL – Test Center (European Computer Driving License)
The Business School of Vocational Studies in Blace is an authorized test center of ECDL – European Computer Driving License.
The ECDL certificate is one of the basic standards in the Strategy for the Development of the Information Society of Serbia adopted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Almost every job requires computer skills, and employers often ask for proof of that. With an ECDL certificate, the candidate proves to the future employer that he is qualified to use a computer. By acquiring the ECDL certificate, the user acquires the knowledge to use the computer according to European and world standards.
No prior knowledge in the field of information technology is required to master the program. The candidate can get all the necessary knowledge for taking the tests through our courses and literature prepared according to the ECDL program, in the Serbian language.
Students of the Business School in Blace, within the Practical classes in the first year, master the material provided by the ECDL program. In this way, all students who want to take the exams for obtaining the ECDL certificate do not have to attend special training, because it is conducted during full-time studies. If a student passes the rights of four modules, he acquires the right to the Start ECDL certificate.
